The Indian Navy has released the online application forms for the recruitment of Sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA) and Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) for the August 2021 batch. Candidates who wish to apply for the Indian Navy SSR AA online form 2021 must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 1st February 2001 and 31st July 2004 (both dates inclusive).
- a) For SSR: Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from a recognized board.
- b) For AA: Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from a recognized board.
Physical Fitness: Candidates should be physically fit as per the standards laid down by the Indian Navy. This includes minimum height of 157 cms, weight and chest should be proportionate, and minimum visual standard of 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6 with glasses.
The selection process for Indian Navy SSR AA recruitment consists of four stages:
Computer Based Test (CBT): The CBT will consist of objective type questions of 100 marks on English, Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. The duration of the exam will be one hour, and there will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT): The PFT will comprise of a 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak), and 10 Push-ups. Candidates must qualify in all the tests to progress to the next stage.
Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the PFT will undergo a medical examination conducted by authorized military doctors. They should be free from any physical or mental illness and should meet the medical standards laid down by the Indian Navy.
Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in CBT, PFT, and Medical Examination.

Application Fee
The application fee for the Indian Navy SSR AA online form 2021 is Rs. 250 for all candidates. However, SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. The fee can be paid online using net banking/credit card/debit card.
